چکیده
Anaerobic digestion of fruit and vegetable wastes (FVW) is a sustainable energy production technology with low carbon footprint but lacks consistent, productive process performance. Hence, the anaerobic co-digestion (AcoD) FVW various lignocellulosic biomass has become necessary. This study investigated AcoD dry fallen leaves (DFL) cow dung (CD) FVW. Twelve combinations were designed, varying proportion DFL FVW, keeping amount CD constant at 6 % total solids 37 °C. The maximum biogas yield 809 ± 96 mL/g VSinput was achieved in reactor to ratio 100:0. In contrast, methane 388 131 observed 40:60, also saving 2 (%w/w) extra water than former. proposed strategy potential for full-scale applications its positive attributes.

Biogas production from co-digestion of local brewery waste (BW) and cow dung (CD) was study for value added to this solid waste. The objective of this research was to fine the optimum condition for maximum biogas production and also examined the effectiveness of the biogas residue (liquor from anaerobic digestion process) as a nitrogen source for the production of okro. The experiments were per...
متن کاملMicrobial Dynamics during Anaerobic Digestion of Cow Dung
The anaerobic digestion of cow dung was investigated for 30days in a laboratory scale batch reactor. Totally nine bacterial strains were isolated from cow dung slurry. The bacterial isolates were preliminarily examined by morphological characteristics and they were further confirmed by 16S rRNA sequencing and analyzed through BLAST. Microbial dynamics showed that hydrolytic bacterial population...
متن کاملAnaerobic co-digestion of organic wastes
Over the last years anaerobic digestion has been successfully established as technology to treat organic wastes. The perspective of turning, through a low-cost process, organic wastes into biogas, a source of renewable energy and profit, has certainly increased the interest around this technology and has required several studies aimed to develop methods that could improve the performance as wel...

. Abstract: The practice of using cow dung for soil conditioning and fertilization dates back to the early history of man, even though, it has received greater attention in recent times due to high cost of chemical fertilizer as well as the environmental impacts on sustainable agriculture. This study explores the three methods of cow dung stabilization namely: composting in 3m depth compost pit...
متن کاملAssessment of the effects of dry anaerobic co- digestion of cow dung with waste water sludge on biogas yield and biodegradability
Dry anaerobic digestion has been treated as feasible process for potential renewable energy recovery with nutrient-rich fertilizer and sustainable solid waste management. Dry methane fermentation of undiluted cow manure (CM), waste water sludge (WWS) and their mixtures into different ratios were conducted at 35°C in the laboratory-scale single-stage batch reactors for 63 days. The specific biog...
